Bands: Once a Hero

We're back from our summer hiatus. Jon spent most of his time working and getting Search and Rescue Records up and running at full throttle. Adam spent his time putting plaques together for graduations (work) and played in his other band Darling of Paris (hardcore to the max). Doug was a counselor at a German camp in Minnesota and hung out in Texas's state capital, Austin. Alex worked, became a vegetarian, and drank lots of coffee. All in all, we were certainly happy to be back and in the possession of all new gear. We're working on getting new merch (stickers, shirts, hoodies, etc.) so keep your eyes peeled.

Our first show back was at our "home base" so to speak, the spot of many CD releases and our first ever show when we were still Stand to Reason. Sigma Phi, for those who are still in the dark, is the only "indie rock" frat in existence. Alex is a member and occupant of the house. Because the party was on short notice, we couldn't talk to another band to get them on the bill. The party was on the first Friday night of school and because of this, every other house on campus was having a party. As a result, not a ton of people showed up to rock out. However, just because there aren't a lot of people doesn't mean that we get soft. We rocked out harder than we have in a long while (three months to be exact) and it felt as if we had never left. We have two shows next Friday so we hope to see you at one or both of them.
