Bands: Once a Hero, Dot., The Chiodos Bros.

The Michigan Union serves as many things to the students of the University of Michigan. Now it also serves those with a taste for the rock. Located on the first floor of the Michigan Union in the ballroom at the back, these free shows put on by the university help local bands out by giving them a chance to perform in front of kids and help give back to the students who pay outrageous tuition (like Alex and Doug) to attend.

Dot. started the show off with their female-fronted rock stylings and the kids were really digging their stuff. Again, they are our good friends so we always make time to see them play their set. The Chiodos Bros. decided to be all anti-establishment by setting up in front of the stage. Apparently, Craig likes to scream at people on a more personal basis. All joking aside, these guys rock hard and if you haven't seen or heard them, I suggest you get your ass out to a show and see why Alex declares them "pretty sweet, dude." But I warn you, they like to get rowdy. So beware.

We followed this performance with our anti anti-establishment statement of setting up back on stage. Needless to say, it was another good set. I mean, we just keep popping those suckers out one after the other. The new record will be out within the month and we can't wait. It'll be nice to see kids screaming along to "Losing the War" and feeling inclined to dance and air drum.
