Bands: Once a Hero, Remember When, Calling all Heroes, Astetik

We were glad to have been on the bill for Maggie's 2002 Halloween Show. The place was decorated with orange, black, and a few various items of Halloween paraphanalia. We were half expecting the crowd to show up in costume, which they disappointingly, but not surprisingly, did not. We sure tried to do our part, though, dressing up in would-have-been costumes.

See Jon in his alternate hair color with a Top Gun hat, Alex in his country attire, complete with a cowboy hat (which he abandoned part way through the show,) and Doug in his acid-washed jeans and T-shirt of some crappy band called Stand to Reason...(?) Adam decided to keep it simple, declining our suggestions to wear a gorrilla mask. After all, it can get hot up there.

A sampling of everyone who rocked out with us

We unfortunately don't have pics of the other bands who played with us, but use your imagination. Remember When, an emo-indie act from Grand Rapids, opened up the show. We've played with them at the Wired Frog once before. Following was Calling All Heroes, another indie act. We were next. Imagine: Calling All Heroes, followed by Once a Hero; need I say more? The night finished off with the local indie band Astetik. In short, another good time had by all.

We'd like to give a shoutout to Heather and Amanda, who were nice enough to stop by our merch table and hang with us after the show. Thanks for being cool and not letting us be lonely. And to the rest of you folks at Maggie's, we'll see you in December. In the meantime, check out our upcoming Sigma Phi Halloween Party, as well as several other exciting shows lined up for the rest of the fall.
