Maggie's
Concord, Michigan

Bands: Once a Hero, Dot., Ettison Clio, Jarring Impact, Before I Go

This was our second show at maggies. It was a great show, and definately an improvement over last night. We can't wait to come back- the folks who run the place are so friendly, and the kids who come to the shows are really supportive. If you live anywhere around Jackson, you should check the place out. First up was Dot., playing their first show at Maggie's. They went over really well with the crowd, and in our opinion, played one of their finer shows to date.

We were second. We were quite energetic tonight and gave the crowd a run for their money. And no broken strings either. Maybe we wanted to redeem ourselves from the night before, and maybe it was that pep-talk we had before the show. It was like the Once A Hero football team, or something.

The dude on Doug's shirt, by the way, is this little cartoon character named Homestar. He's one of several characters that live their lives on this website: www.homestarrunner.com If you're ever bored, go check out this website; it's kinda funny. The guy who created it obviously has too much time on his hands.

Getting back to the show. After we were done, Jarring Impact played. They were that punk band we played with last time we were at Maggie's. We don't have a picture this time, but check out the other past shows page with them. After Jarring Impact was Ettison Clio. Again, we don't have a picture, but you can see them on our past shows pages at the Blind Pig and Jacoby's. Closing out the show was Before I Go. They were an extremely tight punk band who's built up quite a name for themselves around southeast Michigan. We enjoyed their set, and hopefully we'll run into them again. We left Maggie's only to drive straight to Sigma Phi and play a show there. See ya next time, Maggie's.
