Bands: Once a Hero, The Residuals

Today was the first day of our big string of shows through Texas. We stayed the night before at Alex's friend's place in Tuscon, AZ. The drive was only about 5 hours, which is always nice. They have dinsaurs in Arizona.

We played at Cantina La Tuya with The Residuals from San Diego, CA. They're doing a DIY tour pretty similar to ours. They are actually playing in San Antonio at the same place as us tomorrow, good times. We now have our own armed forces guarding our merch table.

This pic is of me with Sandra and Maria, who came out to see the show. They do a 'zine out here in El Paso. It's good to see people supporting the local scene.

It was pretty laid back, being a tuesday and all, but it was definitely a good time.

The Residual's roadie got to play a little acoustic set before they hit the stage. Pretty rad shtuff.

The Residuals were friggin awesome. They are described as "Noisy Indie Rock", and they definitely kicked ass. We got a couple copies of their CD, which is really good as well. I'm looking forward to playing with them again tomorrow in San Antonio.
