The Metropolis
Flint, Michigan

Bands: 60 Second Crush, Wondercrash, Prop Down

One thing me and Doug learned in Flint is that you get to play the "good block, bad block" game alot. You can be walking in a pretty ok area of town, cross the street and then, BAD BLOCK BAD BLOCK! Your first hint should be the fact that all the streets and buildings are deserted. Your second hint should be the shady characters eyeballing you. Your third hit should be...well you don't get a third hint, you're already being mugged. Fortunately, me and Doug took the second hint and ran back to the "good" part of town down by the Local and The Metropolis, without our film.
The Metropolis was really rad in that the guys running the place were "chill". They were really good about getting us water and making sure everything sounded good and worked for us. On the downside, it was a bad weekend because of Flint fest going on a few doors down at the local, so we had a small crowd to play to. Despite that, we still played good and got a good response for the bar crowd. We also shot some home video, I'm hoping I'll be able to get it up on the website sometime once I figure out how to do it. Not much else to tell, it was pretty uneventful but I can't wait to go back and play on a better weekend. Oh yeah, we'll be playing at the local in a few so we'll get another go at the flint scene soon!
