The Sigma Phi Fraternaty
Ann Arbor, Michigan

Bands: Mathis and Odysseus

The first that night band was Odysseus. The most impressive thing about these guys is that their drummer and bassist have only been playing for around 3-4 months prior to today yet they managed to play with grace and a unrivaled precision unknown to other such green musicians. Bob, who's last name I didn't catch, heads up the vocals and lead guitar is a hell of nice guy and we'll be talking to him more soon.
Anywho, by the time it was our turn to play, all of our friends had shown up and the crowd was well built. We played our absolute best show to date in some respects, though our playing was a little off (at least on my end) or live energy was at it's paramount. Today was also actually the first time we've had a honest to goodness moshpit. During "Giving Up" the crowd parted and about 20-30 crazy college kids just started moshing while the band played on. Eventually things settled down, a little, as the show went on. But in all honesty, I've never seen a crowd so into it as I did today, god bless Sigma Phi.
